Amazon river - Iquitos - Peru.
In 1994, MSF chartered a hospital ship, the "Igara Uka" whose mission was to explore the Peruvian Amazon. He stopped three times a day in different villages in the jungle with the aim of training health technicians to take charge of first aid because sometimes the medical centers were more than three days away. I sailed five hundred miles from Iquitos to Contamana and aside from taking pictures for Doctors Without Borders, I began to document the daily life in the area.
