During two weeks my family and I went on Holidays in Ireland, one of the last unspoilt areas in Ireland. It was summer but undoubtedly the four seasons passed almost every day in front of us.
From the rugged Twelve Bens mountain range in the north through lake-rich Roundstone Bog to the golden beaches reaching out into the Atlantic Ocean, you'll know you're in Connemara by the light that constantly changes the mood and tone of the landscape.
Our stay coincided with the Connemara Pony Festival, a detail that added a few horses and some funny scenes to the story.
